a white coat

Jason got his white coat on Sunday. He looked gooooooooood. ;oP I am so excited about what the Lord is doing in his life and bringing him this far. He is really starting to not only KNOW the part, but now LOOK the part. :o) As he finishes up 2nd year today, he is looking forward to 3rd year and working with patient's. that is where he excels in my opinion.
he does have one HUGE bump to get over first, though. the first of two boards that he has to pass to become a doctor is coming up on June 28th! please join me in my prayers for him. just whenever you think of us, please pray for calm spirits, and trust that the Lord is in control...NOT us!

well, to bring everyone up to date, i finished my pottery class last night. i made several "pieces", and that was exciting. i will be glad to have those nights back, though.
jason will be getting his white coat on sunday! it is just one more step closer to md!! he will have it to wear for next year as he will be in his 3rd year and that is when they do their "rotations" and are actually doing a lot of hands on stuff. sounds much more exciting than lectures! he has done SO well these first to years, though, and i am so proud.
my mom had a birthday yesterday, and my family sent me a bunch of pictures this morning of their fun day. i cried. it is hard not being a part of that anymore. i guess this first year of marriage has many struggles in those regards. here is one of the pics they sent me...everyone is there but me!
















i miss them all so much. look how much older they are. life really is but a breath.

time for a visit home

i am headed home for the weekend. home, as in, choctaw beach, fl where my family is. family as in my parents and siblings. it is so weird having two "homes" and two "families"...no, make that three "families" now!
jason has a test monday so is going to stay here to study. poor thing. he has a few weeks left of school, then they are having a white coat ceremony for them on May 21st. keep him in your prayers!
