keepin up
well, here are some updates:
i am still working at the church office and doing photography on the side--nothing new. :o)
jason is in his last rotation of 3rd year medical school.
4th year is quickly approaching and we are excited, but there is a lot to plan for! so far, he is still thinking along the lines of going into opthalmology (eye doctor). so for all of august and september, he will be in San Antonio, TX doing 2 rotations at Willford Hall (the air force teaching hospital) where he would like to be able to do his residency (4 years). After coming home from Texas, he will have one month to study hard for the boards (while still taking classes), then he will finish up applying to several residency programs. nov-jan. will be filled with interviews, most of which will be in december. in mid-december, though, we should find out where we will be going for residency! our top choice right now is San Antonio, TX, but there are only 4 spots available for Opthalmology there, so who knows! we are just trying our hardest to trust the Lord through all of this and not grow anxious. please pray for us!
jason has been racing a lot more! he is getting pretty fast! this past Saturday, he placed third in a 5K (time= 16.54min)! i am still running as well, but not racing.
my dad will be here visiting this weekend! we are excited and i cannot wait to see him!
i think that should catch everyone up!
